Due
What is due, how many attempts remain and by when. All three before starting, rather than discovered at question one.
Saved as you go
Every answer saved as it is given. A dropped connection at question nine should not cost the first eight.
Attempt limits
Enforced and shown. A quiz with unlimited attempts and no feedback is a guessing game.
Per-question feedback
What was wrong and why, not just a percentage. The score is the least useful part of a result.
Question banks
Drawn randomly where you configure it, so two students sitting together do not see the same paper.
Feeds progress
Results flow into the module progress in Online Courses rather than sitting in a separate tool.
User types
One user type, and no authoring.
Writing quizzes is a teaching job and it belongs with the course, in Online Courses. This app is what the student holds, and keeping it to that keeps it fast.
Student, the only user
Takes the quiz, sees the result and understands what was wrong. The authoring side is a teacher’s job in Online Courses, so this app has one user.

The limits
What this is not.
The same list we give for every app in the catalogue, because the fastest way to a bad project is a promise made in a meeting that nobody wrote down.
We do not accredit anything
A certificate carries exactly the authority your institution carries. Awarding-body recognition is between you and them, and no software confers it.
It does not author quizzes
Authoring belongs with the course in Online Courses. Splitting it across two apps is how question banks drift.
It is not invigilation
It does not watch a camera, lock a device or verify identity. Those are separate products with serious privacy implications.
It cannot stop determined cheating
Random draws and attempt limits raise the effort. Anything stronger requires supervision, and we will say so rather than imply otherwise.

Can it prevent cheating?
It raises the effort with randomised banks, attempt limits and timing. It does not watch a camera or lock a device, and anyone claiming software alone solves this is overselling. Real assurance needs supervision.
What happens if the connection drops?
Answers are saved as they are given, so the attempt resumes where it stopped. Losing eight answers to a dropped connection is the complaint that kills quiz tools.
Where are quizzes written?
In Online Courses, with the module they assess. Keeping authoring next to the teaching is what stops question banks drifting away from what was taught.
Does the result explain what was wrong?
Yes, per question, where the teacher wrote feedback. A bare percentage is the least useful thing an assessment can return.
Do I get the source code?
Yes, on the same terms as every app here. No licence key and nothing that calls home.
