Privacy notice

This notice explains how BuyOwnCode handles personal data collected through this website and through enquiries about BuyOwnCode. It does not cover data held inside applications we have delivered to you, once the software is running on your infrastructure, you are the controller of that data and we are not.

Information you give us. Name, work email, company, team size and the description you write when you submit the enquiry form or email us.

Technical information. Standard server logs including IP address, user agent and requested URL, retained for security and diagnostics.

We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site trackers or third-party analytics that fingerprint visitors. The site sets no cookies of its own.

To reply to your enquiry and prepare a scope or quote.

To perform a contract with you, or take steps at your request before entering one.

To keep the site secure and to meet our legal and accounting obligations.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing.

Enquiries that do not become projects are deleted after 24 months. Project records are kept for the duration of the engagement plus the period our tax and contractual obligations require. Server logs are rotated within 90 days.

We operate from India, the United States and Germany, and use processors in those regions. Where personal data leaves the UK or EEA it is transferred under Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent lawful mechanism.

Depending on where you live you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or port your personal data, and to object to processing. Email hello@buyowncode.com and we will respond within one month. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
