Driver App

The driver’s half of a logistics operation, built for a phone in a cold hand with no signal. Everything else is somebody else’s screen.

Inside the app

What it does out of the box

22 connected functions on one schema across 1 user type. Everything below is in the template before a line of customisation.

Shift

Vehicle check before the wheels turn, the round summary and hours remaining. The check is recorded because somebody will eventually ask whether it happened.

Round

Every drop in sequence with address, access notes and distance. One screen, large targets, no nested menus.

Navigation

Handoff to whichever maps app the driver already uses. Building our own would be expensive and worse.

Proof at the door

Photo, signature or handed-to-name, captured offline. A delivery with no proof is a delivery you will end up paying for twice.

Failures with a reason

Recorded at the door, not guessed at the depot. That is the only version of the reason worth having.

Offline throughout

The round lives on the device and syncs when signal returns. Basements, lifts and rural dead spots are the normal case, not the exception.

User types

One user type, on purpose.

A driver app that also tries to be a dispatch console is a driver app nobody can use at a door in the rain. Dispatch is Order Tracking; this is the round.

Driver, the only user

One user, one round, one screen. Everything a driver needs between the van and the door, and nothing else competing for attention while they are holding a parcel.

  • The round in sequence, on one screen
  • Navigation handoff per drop
  • Proof of delivery: photo, signature or note
  • A reason recorded when a drop fails
  • Works entirely offline and syncs after

The limits

What this is not.

The same list we give for every app in the catalogue, because the fastest way to a bad project is a promise made in a meeting that nobody wrote down.

It is not route optimisation

Drops are sequenced as dispatch sets them. Full multi-vehicle optimisation at scale is a specialist engine we integrate rather than reinvent.

It is not a dispatch console

Assigning and reassigning work belongs to Order Tracking. This app deliberately shows one round.

We do not licence your operation

Operator licensing, driver hours, tachograph and dangerous goods rules where you run remain yours. We build to the rules you confirm apply.

Location tracking is a scoping decision

Continuous tracking has real driver-privacy and employment implications. It is a conversation, not a default.

Questions

Questions, answered plainly.

If yours is not here, ask it on the call rather than guessing from a pricing page.

Does it work with no signal?

Yes, and that is the point rather than a feature. The round is held on the device, proof is captured offline and everything syncs when the connection returns.

Does it track the driver continuously?

Only if you decide it should. Continuous location has genuine privacy and employment implications, so it is scoped explicitly rather than switched on by default.

How does it relate to Fleet & Transport?

Fleet & Transport is the internal system: vehicles, maintenance, compliance and cost per mile. This is what the driver holds. They complement each other and can share a database.

Can it take photos as proof?

Photo, signature or handed-to-name, per drop, configurable by service level. Photos are stored against the drop rather than in a camera roll.

Do I get the source code?

Yes, on the same terms as every app here. No licence key and nothing that calls home.
