Module 5 unlocks when module 4 is completed, not when its date passes. Sequencing that is only advisory is not sequencing.

“Sampling logic is sound and the limitations section is honest. Next time state the sample size in the abstract rather than leaving it to page four.”

Falling behind
Seven students behind in week five is a teaching problem you can still solve. The same seven in week eleven is a pass rate.

Released this week
Marks are released to a whole cohort at once rather than trickling out, which stops students comparing turnaround times instead of feedback.

Every lesson has a transcript corrected by a person. It is the most used thing on any online course and it costs about twenty minutes per lesson to produce.
Practice before the first assessment moves completion on this course from 46% to 78%. It is the single most effective thing here and it is off by default on most platforms.
Transcripts download automatically because they are a few kilobytes and they are the part somebody on a train actually needs.
Questions can be asked anonymously. The third one on this list is the question most people have and almost nobody signs their name to.
Three attempts and the best one counts. A single attempt makes people revise for a test rather than learn a subject, and it is the commonest reason somebody stops at module 3.
Strong on the mechanics throughout. The weak section is transfers, which is also the section most people find hardest and where module 3 starts. Read the worked example before you begin it.
The comment points forward rather than back. Telling somebody what they got wrong is less useful than telling them what to do next.
The score is not on the certificate. A pass is a pass and printing 78% invites a comparison the qualification does not make.
Modules
Four of seven and eleven hours in. The course was sold as about twenty hours, and showing the real figure alongside is more use than a percentage bar.
There is no deadline and access lasts two years. The pace line exists so you can see the drift, not so anybody can chase you about it.
You pick the day and time rather than the platform picking it. A reminder at nine on a Sunday morning is a reason to uninstall something.
Before you buy
Module one is free and needs no card. If somebody does not want module two after module one, taking their money first would not have changed that.
You can see how they are doing and not how they got there. Watching which lessons somebody rewatched is surveillance rather than support.
Twenty-one pieces waiting and all inside target. The number that matters is the oldest one rather than the total.
