Good morning, Elena
What is waiting on you, and what your shift has been saying.
Four things are waiting on you.
Two are overdue. None of them take more than five minutes, and the site cannot close the safety audit until they are done.

The announcement, the document behind it, and the action it requires.
Following the site audit in June, the isolation and lockout procedure has changed. Everyone working on the plant floor must read the revised SOP and pass the assessment before the due date. Supervisors are notified for anyone still outstanding after it.

Why this exists
A regulator asking whether your workforce was told will not accept an email send log. This records who opened it, who completed the action, and when, per person.

Raise something
What you have raised
Safety items route straight to the safety officer rather than into a general queue. An anonymous submission drops your name from the record the reviewer sees, but the item is still logged and still tracked, so it cannot quietly disappear, and nobody can attribute it back to you.

What people must do
A quiz proves understanding. An acknowledgement proves receipt. They are not interchangeable, and picking the wrong one is the most common mistake here.
When it goes out
Reminders respect each site’s quiet hours, except for the safety category. 22:00 at Cavell is not 22:00 at Selby.

Department capability
Five measures, three departmentsWhat the shape says
Acknowledgement is high everywhere, because it costs one tap. On-time is where the departments separate, and it tracks almost exactly with how much of the team works away from a desk.
A quiz score above the completion rate means the people who do finish understand it. The problem is reach, not comprehension.

Why the structure matters
Audience selection when publishing reads from this tree. A person in the wrong department gets the wrong announcements, and the completion figure for both departments is then wrong too.

Onboarding

What a bad first day predicts
Across the current cohort
Leaver
What has to happen when somebody goes.
Eleven days after his last day he can still open the ledger, the document store and two supplier portals. His building pass was returned on the day.
Offboarding
3 open| Item | Owner | Due | Status | Risk |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Building pass returned | Facilities | Last day | Done | - |
| Laptop returned | IT | Last day | Done | - |
| Email disabled | IT | Last day | Done | - |
| Ledger access removed | IT | Last day | Open | Financial records |
| Document store access | IT | Last day | Open | Everything he could see |
| Supplier portals x2 | Nobody | Last day | Open | Payment details |
Access granted outside the standard set is granted by whoever needed it and appears on no leaver checklist. The two supplier portals have no owner at all, which is why they are still open.
Reorganisation

A reorganisation that leaves two people with no manager and four with two is normal at the drafting stage and expensive on the day it happens. The whole value of this screen is the twenty-four days between now and then.

Recent changes
Why custom roles exist
- An employee sees and can correct everything held about them
- A manager sees their own team and no salary outside it
- Any access granted outside the standard set is recorded, so a leaver list is complete
- Nobody can delete a person record; a leaver is archived with their history

Access granted outside the standard set has to be recorded against the person. Without that row a leaver checklist can only remove what somebody remembered to write down, which is how two supplier portals stayed open.

- Without third-party portals a leaver keeps whatever was granted outside this company, which is exactly the two accounts still open
- Without equipment lead times a laptop is ordered a week before someone starts
- Without identity an access removal is a person working through a list
- People still join and leave; what they can still open is unknown
