Next available, standard
Every slot shown is a slot that exists. Nothing here is a request that somebody confirms by phone three hours later.
Upcoming
Free to change up to 24 hours before. Inside that window the deposit is retained. The rule is shown here rather than argued about later.

Thursday 3 September
An unsold gap is stock you did not sell, and it is shown as such rather than left as white space in a calendar.

Rules
Duration is per service and enforced. A diary that lets a 90-minute service into a 30-minute slot will do it every week until somebody notices.
By customer
When they happen
5 of 6 no-shows were a customer’s first booking with no deposit taken.
Which suggests a deposit on first bookings rather than a policy aimed at everyone.
This week
Times are the light rather than the diary. A north window at ten in October is a different sitting from four in the afternoon, and the studio would rather say so than let you pick blind.
Anything we should know
No deposit for a first sitting. Asking a stranger for money before they have met you is how a small studio loses the people who were nervous anyway.
If you are running late, message rather than cancel. The studio is one room and holding it for twenty minutes costs nothing.
Cancelling more than a day ahead costs nothing and does not affect booking again. Under a day, the studio would still rather you said so than not turned up.
The last row is the important one. Nothing you sit for is published, shown as an example or used anywhere until you have seen it and said yes.
Kept so you can find the images again. Files are held for five years and then deleted, and you are told a month before.
Forty-one raw frames are kept alongside the twelve. If you decide in a year that you liked a different one, it still exists.
A deposit is taken only for bookings over two hours or for groups, and it is returned in full if you cancel with a day of notice.
Two reminders and nothing else. A studio that messages you between bookings is selling, and you can find us when you want us.

What you can do
You can delete every file at any time and it happens immediately. The studio keeps no copy after that, including of anything you previously approved.
The last one is asked more than anything else and is never written down. A quiet session with no music and one person in the room is available for any booking, and you do not have to explain why.
She asked about a quiet session when she booked. Turning the music off before she arrives is the whole difference between a good sitting and a stiff one.
Seven of the nine who cancelled rebooked. Charging a cancellation fee would have collected about $90 and cost most of that.
Four people have asked to be told about short-notice slots. One message fills most gaps and none of them minds being asked.
The last row changes with the season rather than the diary. Booking a portrait for half past four in December sells somebody a sitting in the dark.
This week
Four hours of good light went unbooked this week. That is about $360 and it is the only number on this screen anybody can do something about.
